Summer Student Employment Opportunities

The Township of Greater Madawaska is currently inviting students to apply for 2025 summer employment opportunities.

Applications will be accepted until Friday April 4, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.. 

Please note that the application form will follow the listing of Summer Student Positions below. Students are able to apply to more than one position of interest. 

Summer Student Employment Opportunities

Public Works Labourer (1 position available) 

Summary: Public Works Labourer will assist the Public Works Staff with a variety of maintenance related duties such as, but not limited to, traffic control, removing debris and litter from right of ways, installing roadway signage, and repairing fences.
Duration:  15 week program - beginning May 20, 2025
Hours of Work:  40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday
Compensation:    $17.20/hour

 

Eiligibilty Requirements

All summer student applicants must meet the following requirements on the first day of employment with the Township of Greater Madawaska.

  • You must be 16 years of age to 30 years of age (with the exception of the Facilities Grounds Labourer which can be a minimum of 15 years of age)
  • You must be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary program
  • You must be returning to a secondary or post-secondary program on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025.
  • You must have a minimum of a class 'G2' licence and present a clean drivers abstract (with the exception of the Facilities Ground Labourer if only 15 years of age)
  • A satisfactory Criminal Reference Check is required prior to commencement of employment for applicants that are 18 years and older.
